Clothing that's alive. That adapts to the weather conditions while also taking into account your body temperature. That covers all bases when it comes to breathability, weatherproofing and comfort. These were the requests made by alpinist Andres Marin when travelling with a product developer at The North Face. The concept of FUTURELIGHT - the most advanced outerwear technology to date - had come into being. The technology consists of using the nanospinning production process to create a membrane that is extraordinarily breathable thanks to countless minute holes. Built into the membrane are an exterior layer and an interior layer, both made of recycled material. The resulting FUTURELIGHT fabric is breathable, waterproof, soft, comfortable, robust and sustainable.
